My hair is turning green from the pool. How can I get this out?

I know I have asked this question before but this time its really green. I usually get my hair wet before I get in the pool but it still staying green. What is the best way to get this out? It is mostly the ends of my hair and its about 4 inches off if I wanted to cut it but I like the length I have right now. Help!
