Feb 28, 2009 - The Colorado Cue Club was the site for 46 area APA league players on this day. The bracket is grouped by handicap with 6's facing off against 7's, 5's against 4's, and 2's against 3's initially. Sometimes, depending on the ratio of player skill levels a 5 may face a 6 or 7 right away though. This was the case with Brian O'Neil who after playing a 5 in the first round was thrown to the wolves facing two 6's and a 7 (former Mile High Top Gun champion Kris Pipken) prevailing in each set.

In the finals of the winners side Brian overcame Stephanie Wise to claim the hot seat. Over on the one loss side Lanny Mowry, rated a 5, took down Wyatt Brumfield, rated a 7. He then had to face Staphanie but couldn't get there as Stephanie took the match and scored a re-match with Brian in the finals. It would turn out to be Brian's day though as cruised to victory claiming the Fall Session Mile High Top Gun title. Congratulations to Brian O'Neil and of course to all of those Top Guns that finished in the money. We look forward to the next event.
