How to make a ceiling light?
I have a candle holder that I want to make into a ceiling light. What lighting parts do I need? I’ve tried looking in the hardware stores for Hanging light fixture kits but all I can find is Swag Light Kits.
Find and old lamp and look at the light socket. You’ll notice a nut at the base. You can loosen that nut and the entire socket assembly will come out of the lamp, cord and all. You’ll need to drill a hole in the candle holder to accommodate the light socket. You can cut the wire to the desired length to hook up to the white and black wires in the ceiling junction box. It won’t matter which of the two socket wires you hook up to the white and black. I hope that helps.
