Which pool cue should I get – a Lucasi Hybrid or a Lucasi Classic style?
I’m getting a new pool cue and am trying to decide between a hybrid (which I’ve never tried) and a classic style (which my current McDermott is). Supposedly the hybrid with shaft has much less deflection; I wanted to graduate to something different than my usual old $150 cue whose wrap is coming undone since my talent level is graduation to higher levels. These are the ones I’m considering:

Any feedback on my choices or Lucasi cues in general are greatly appreciated!
*** Looking for a cue with a LEATHER wrap.
When you’re talking cues, there are two kinds of people: Those who tell you that low deflection cues will play more accurately, and those who don’t know what they are talking about.
When you reduce the deflection of a cue, the cue ball will be less likely to travel off of it’s intended path, and therefore will be more accurate. That is not my opinion, it is a scientific fact.
I’ve never used the Lucasi Hybrid, but if you want to step up from the standard cue, then obviously the Hybrid should be your choice. I personally use a Predator P3 with a Z2 shaft, and feel it is the most accurate cue on the planet, and have no reason to believe otherwise without a side by side, scientific comparison (which has been done in the past and has proven the Z2 is the most accurate shaft available, although the *new* Lucasi shafts were not out yet). If you’re not looking in that kind of price range, I’m sure the Lucasi is a fine alternative. The only detraction could be the feel of the cue in your hand, or the feel of the hit, but obviously I cannot comment of if you will like it or not.
Good luck and have fun.
